The investment supports the Company’s next phase of growth, with Andrew James appointed Chief Executive Officer and Gareth Smith appointed Chief Operating Officer.
Purified Air Limited, a UK leader in clean-tech emission-control systems for commercial kitchens and industrial applications, is pleased to announce a new investment by PX3 Partners (“PX3”), a London-headquartered pan-European private equity firm. The transaction sees PX3 acquire the Company from its founder, David Collins, who retains a shareholding and a seat on the board of directors as a non-executive member.
Founded in 1984 and headquartered in Romford, UK, Purified Air designs, manufactures, and services filtration and odour-control equipment primarily for restaurant groups as well as for industrial customers. With ca. 90 committed employees, the Company is proud to serve many of the best-known brands across Europe, the Middle East, and the U.S.
Andrew James, after 24 years with the Company, has assumed the role of Chief Executive Officer. Gareth Smith, also a longstanding employee of Purified Air, has assumed the role of Chief Operating Officer. These appointments are part of a leadership transition that David Collins has been executing in recent years.
With PX3’s backing, Purified Air will invest further in its products, customer relationships, technical expertise, and people, while pursuing an ambitious plan to grow both organically and through selective acquisitions. A key focus will be expanding the Company’s international presence, particularly in the U.S., as Purified Air builds the business for the long-term.
